Plot Summary

Chapter 13 marks Pip's formal binding as Joe's blacksmith apprentice, ending his visits to Satis House. When they arrive at Satis House, Estella leads them in, and Joe is so overwhelmed by Miss Havisham and her strange surroundings that he refuses to address her directly, instead directing all his answers to Pip.
