Anne Hollingsworth Wharton (1845-1928) was an American writer and historian, devoting herself to the social history of the Colonial and Revolutionary periods. She wrote a number of books and articles, including Through Colonial Doorways (1893), Life of Martha Washington (1897), Colonial Days and Dames, and our featured historic Christmas story, Christmas in Seventeen Seventy-Six (1895).
