The Land That Time Forgot

The Land That Time Forgot was the first of a serial published in Blue Book Magazine in 1918; it was published as a novel in 1924. The second in the serial was Burroughs' The People That Time Forgot. Inspired by other "lost world" stories, Jules Verne's The Mysterious Island (1874), and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World (1912), these novels remain cult favorites of dinosaur and B-movie fans, featured in Dystopian Stories, Science Fiction, and Books for Young Readers.
